Principal’s Message

“You educate a man; you educate a man. You educate a woman; you educate a generation”

– Bringham Young

Greetings from the Principal, Government Arts and Science College for Women.

Why higher education is important for women? In the present-day world, higher education matters a lot to a woman who aspires to be a leader, a reformist, an innovator, and a visionary. Higher education is essential in shaping various aspects of women’s lives including enhanced self-image, self-improvement and growth, better career opportunities, and marriage prospects. Besides that, higher education facilitates women to discover their innate potential and gain new skills.

The ambience of our college is conducive for effective learning. Syllabus is updated periodically with the focused view of promoting personal growth as well as professional skill development of the students. As well, competent and dedicated faculties at our college encourage the students to come out with flying colours not only in academics but also in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities so as to achieve empowerment prosperity and development and to meet opportunities and challenges that lie ahead in life. I appreciate the relentless efforts of our faculties for giving their best in bringing out the finest of every student.

I am sure that the girls who enter the portals of our college with its motto “To Touch the Peak” will go out as responsible citizens with human values and they will contribute to reducing socioeconomic gender disparities and to enhancing women empowerment.
