About Students Welfare Committee
Government Arts and Science College for Women, Kodaikanalembraces an Students Welfare Committee were it ensures Grievances, Health, joyfulness, education and friendly environment to the college Students. By encouraging them to participate in various academic and extracurricular activities in and off the college campus. The Students welfare committee plays a major role in the overall management of student’s matters. To facilitate proficientendowment to the welfare committee which holds several units and sections such as guidance, counselling, medical facilities, placements, sports, students election and youth festivals.

VISION
To be a center to refrain thoughts, provide support in academics and personal hitches which would qualify students personally and professionally upon the national and provincial work.
MISSION
Students Welfare Committee stands by the agendas set up by the college which provides exclusive academic environment with the students and college and comforts students to overcome all personal, social and academic interferences.
Role
- To ensure that new students are oriented with college and college activities, rules and regulation.
- Maintain a college with high safety and secured environment to protect students from impairment.
- To improve and stream recreational facilities and activities to all students.
- Ensure support and guidance for students to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities such as Music, elocutions, drama, sports, club activities etc.
- To offer guidance and counselling in all the aspects for students in general and individual in particular.
- To support and maintain standard and discipline of all the students.
- Arrange remedial measures for students with personal glitches and stress management.
- To provide health service, counselling service, educational tours, placement facilities and suggesting academic endeavors.
- To support students with disabilities in appropriate way.
- To physique up confidence in students to break the chain of inferiority.
